Executive Director, Pharmacology
(MA)
Responsibilities include
directing basic pharmacology research, providing
strategic leadership/vision and managing the
pharmacology groups responsible for discovery
projects and developmental compounds at Sepracor.
NCEs are primarily focused on CNS and respiratory
disorders. Close and effective interaction with
medicinal chemistry, preclinical (including
toxicology, safety pharmacology, ADME), clinical
research, new product planning groups and development
project teams will be critical to success.
Ph. D.
in the life sciences (preferably pharmacology)
with 15-25 years in the pharmaceutical industry
managing research in pharmacology, physiology,
cell biology, and/or biochemistry.

Medicinal
Chemist (MA)
The Medicinal Chemist will apply medicinal chemistry
principles and synthesis capabilities in drug
discovery projects of small therapeutic molecules.
Join a team of medicinal chemists to generate
target compounds and focused libraries for drug
led discovery and optimization. Utilizing the
necessary technical skills to conduct discovery
research under supervision of a project leader.
Significantly contribute to the publication,
patenting and presentation of company's chemistry,
and technologies. Highly motivated to succeed,
posses the ability to communicate clearly and
effectively and work efficiently in a multidisciplinary
environment. Dynamic and creative individual
with strong training in multi-step organic synthesis,
contemporary purification techniques, and modern
structure elucidation techniques. Analytical
skills should include all modern spectroscopic
techniques including: NMR experimentation and
techniques; IR; mass spectroscopy, separation
techniques including chromatography: HPLC, GC,
TLC, flash chromatography. Complete familiarity
with chemical literature and literature searching
techniques. The ability to interact well with
other colleagues.
Candidate
must have a MS in Chemistry with 2-4 years of
experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
or a Ph.D in Synthetic Organic Chemistry with
0-2 years of postdoctoral experience

Research
Scientist (NY)
This individual will be involved in the development
of therapeutics for the treatment of HIV infection
and cancer. Responsibilities include construction
and maintenance of stable mammalian cell lines,
purification and characterization of recombinant
proteins, and the development of enzymatic assays.
Experience: 2+ years work experience in an industrial
environment. Education: BS/BA & MS/MA in biology,
preferably in cell biology.

Pre-Clinical Development Manager (NJ)
Responsibilities include managing a team of
scientists and associates to provide
bioanalytical support for toxicology studies and
clinical trials; overseeing all work performed
and maintaining extensive knowledge in current
and emerging therapeutic drug monitoring
techniques and regulations; directing the
performance of laboratory tests in the
phamacokinetics laboratory; directing the
development, implementation and validation of
immunoassays (flow cytometry and ELISA),
managing the day-to-day operations of the
laboratory; ensuring the performance of all
quality management procedures as required by GLP
and GCP and assisting in other tasks as
required. PhD with 3 years experience
preferred but will consider MS with 5+ years.
Must have previous management experience working
with immunoassay development, ELISA and flow
cytometry. Must have experience managing a
GLP bioanalytical laboratory analyzing
biological samples from clinical trials or
toxicology studies.
